Helen Goes Traveling

Helen, her Daddy, and I went on another trip a couple of weeks ago to Chatanooga, TN. We stayed two nights at the Chatanooga Choo Choo Hotel. I went for a GFWC of TN Convention, and Ben went to keep me company and to go to the beautiful Tennessee Aquarium with Helen. Helen did very well in her first hotel room experience. She let us get some sleep and slept for most of the ride going and coming.

That same weekend we had Ben's Uncle Bill and Aunt Marlene come for supper. Ben got take out BBQ, and made strawberry sundaes for dessert. It was great to see them, especially because they live in upstate NY and we rarely get to visit. Also on Sun. we stopped in Knoxville, TN and had lunch at the Tomato Head Restaurant with Ben's Major Professor when he attended UT. We hadn't seen her in 15 years and it was good to get reacquainted.

Yesterday Helen had lunch with her cousins Devin and Sophie, Uncle Eric, Aunt Page, and Grandpa Charlie at Well Bred Bakery in Weaverville, NC. It was the first time she met her Uncle and Cousins, and they had a wonderful time with her. She was an Angel, and couldn't stop smiling. This week we are staying in a cabin with my family in Roan Mountain, TN, and this weekend we will have our family and friends around us as baby Helen is Baptised into the Episcopal Church, St. John's in Johnson City, TN.
