Onslo's Gone

Our sweet tabby, Onslo passed away the day after Christmas. We adopted him when he was just a kitten in conjunction with his half brother Claude. Onslo was a playful, sweet natured, loving lap cat. He loved to get on Ben's lap every morning while he drank his coffee. He started losing weight a couple of months ago and became a pest about begging us for food. We took him to get more tests at the vet, and they couldn't find anything wrong with him. He was 15 years old, and I guess it was just his time. He had a wonderful life, was well loved, and loved playing with his toy mouse. In his last week of life we set him in front of the fire or near the heating vents. He died under my side of the bed, curled up and peaceful. It was hard to lose such a wonderful friend, but I'm glad he went quietly and peacefully in his own home.

Oh man. I am so sorry. I'm glad he was at home, though, like you said. And it sounds like he died in his sleep, which is very comforting.
I know I still need to make it to JC---haven't felt up to it lately, as after Christmas I had all my lower teeth (9) pulled and a lower denture put in, due to a toothache/headache/backache that lasted off and on for a MONTH! Hope you are feeling nice n' round n' ready for the kid!!!
